Architectural Precast Concrete at the John Jones Arts Building

05 / 10 / 2015

Amber Precast were appointed by Watkin Jones Group to supply a number of Precast elements for one of the most exciting construction developments in the UK art world, The John Jones Arts Building.

The office and studio space located in Finsbury Park, London, provides an inspirational setting for prestigious picture framing company and fine art collector, John Jones. Given the international reputation of the company, careful consideration was given to the design of the building’s exterior, proposed by David Gallagher Associates. Amber Precast supplied three types of stone elements: a polished granite plinth, exposed Cornish granite banding panels and Portland spandrel panels.

Working closely with David Gallagher Associates ensured that concepts were actualised and adhered to the highest quality standard. Our in-house capabilities and teams of Project Managers, CAD Technicians, Joiners and Casting Operatives enabled us to produce bespoke items tailored to meet their exact design specification.

After a 16 week production period, Amber Precast delivered all concrete items to site to be installed by Precast Masonry Services, giving the finishing touches to the facelift of the 57,000 sq ft New York style warehouse which is now open to the public.

Greg Saunders, Business Development Manager at Amber Precast comments:

“The Amber Precast team are delighted to have worked on such a high profile development for Watkin Jones. This project in particular highlights our capacity to offer a broad range of Precast products in a variety of styles and finishes. We have previously supplied to Watkin Jones on several projects and look forward to continuing to work with them in upcoming years.”
